The Sansa Modern Poetry 100-Year Museum

Introduction

The Sansa Modern Poetry 100-Year Museum has gathered up the 100-year history of Korean poetry and put it into a space where it can live and breathe, allowing visitors to feel and experience everything related to the modern poetry of Korea.

The beautiful museum features rare poetry collections such as ‘Song of a Jellyfish’ by Kim Ok, Manhae Han Yongun’s ‘Meditations of the Lover’, and Kim Sowol’s ‘Azaleas’, finding harmony between paintings done by artists Kim Jeon-seon and Kim Hwan-Ki and poems while creating a space that allows viewers to experience a 100-year panorama of Korean Sansa modern poetry.

This is a place that lets visitors look back on their lives while walking down a woodland path of poetry on which the spirits of major poets such as Yoon Dong-joo, Park Doo-jin, and Seo Jeong-jin/Go-eun live and breathe.

The Sansa Modern Poetry 100-Year Museum is a report on the poetry culture of Korea. The museum aims to arouse Korean cultural pride through the spirit of ‘love for poetry’ and ‘love for life’.
